Incheon Total Energy, Combined Heat and Power Plant simultaneously produces electricity and heat, doubling energy utilization efficiency and significantly reducing emissions of air pollutants and greenhouse gases (CO₂).
Incheon Total Energy contributes to the stability of the metropolitan area's power supply through the operation of a 187.3 MW natural gas combined heat and power plant in Songdo International City.
The heat produced at the power plant, along with the waste heat generated by nearby municipalities, is supplied for heating and cooling purposes to Songdo International City and Incheon old downtown area.
Incheon Total Energy's combined heat and power plant, by simultaneously producing heat and electricity, achieves high power generation efficiency and significantly reduces carbon and fine dust emissions during the generation process. It also has a high greenhouse gas reduction effect. Additionally, being located near the demand area, it is a representative decentralized power source that does not require large-scale transmission lines or long-distance fuel pipelines.
